PC-SIG Directory on Disk
Welcome to the PC-SIG directory on disk. The primary purposes we
see for offering the directory on disk are:
1. To be able to search for keywords and quickly find all files
which relate to a particular subject.
2. The capability to quickly notify users of the library about
additions and modifications to the library.
3. Allow users to easily share information about what is in the
PC-SIG library.
How to search for all occurences of a particular word in the library.
The DOS "FIND" command (distributed on all DOS 2.0 and later disks) may
be used to list all lines which contain a particular word or phrase in
any one of the .UPP files. The batch file DFIND.BAT on this disk may be
used to find all occurences of a keyword in all directory files (those
with the extension .UPP). To use type:
dfind "STRING"
where "STRING" is the word being searched for. The directory files are
in all uppercase letters to make searches easier. Note that the
following files must be either on one disk or in a single directory on
your hard disk:
FIND.EXE from your DOS disk
DFIND.BAT on this disk
*.UPP .UPP files on this and the other directory disk
Disk Directory Updates
This directory is updated on a regular basis as new disks are released into
the library. Often this Directory on disk is more current than any printed
documentation we have.
