  1. PC-SIG Directory on Disk

  3. Welcome to the PC-SIG directory on disk.  The primary purposes we
  4. see for offering the directory on disk are:
  5.  
  6.     1. To be able to search for keywords and quickly find all files
  7.        which relate to a particular subject.
  8.  
  9.     2. The capability to quickly notify users of the library about
  10.        additions and modifications to the library.
  11.  
  12.     3. Allow users to easily share information about what is in the
  13.        PC-SIG library.
  14.  
  15.  
  16. How to search for all occurences of a particular word in the library.
  17.  
  18. The DOS "FIND" command (distributed on all DOS 2.0 and later disks) may
  19. be used to list all lines which contain a particular word or phrase in
  20. any one of the .UPP files.  The batch file DFIND.BAT on this disk may be
  21. used to find all occurences of a keyword in all directory files (those
  22. with the extension .UPP).  To use type:
  23.  
  24.         dfind "STRING"
  25.  
  26. where "STRING" is the word being searched for.  The directory files are
  27. in all uppercase letters to make searches easier.  Note that the
  28. following files must be either on one disk or in a single directory on
  29. your hard disk:
  30.  
  31.         FIND.EXE      from your DOS disk
  32.         DFIND.BAT     on this disk
  33.         *.UPP         .UPP files on this and the other directory disk
  34.

  36. Disk Directory Updates
  37.  
  38. This directory is updated on a regular basis as new disks are released into
  39. the library.  Often this Directory on disk is more current than any printed
  40. documentation we have.

  43. Restrictions on release of this directory
  44.  
  45. The files on this disk are copyrighted.  You may copy files on this disk
  46. so long as you do not:
  47.  
  48.     1. Charge anyone for a copy of this disk or charge a fee for the use
  49.        of a copy.  The only exception to this is for non-profit
  50.        organizations which may charge not more than a $7 per disk fee.
  51.  
  52.     2. Change the contents of any file on this disk or represent
  53.        files on this disk to be produced by anyone other than PC-SIG.

  57.     1. Copy any or all of these files onto a BBS system so long
  58.        as you upload files in their entirety.
